Tony Toepfer grew up in Texas, obtaining a B.A. in Art and Technology from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2005 and a Masters of Business Administration from Texas A&M University in 2006. He worked at Dell, Inc. as an Operations Specialist before heading to Minneapolis to attend the University of St. Thomas School of Law. During law school, he served as a Senior Editor for the St. Thomas Law Review and worked as a Summer Associate for Gray Plant Mooty in St. Cloud. He graduated with honors and received his Juris Doctorate in 2011.
Tony was hired as an attorney by Leonard Street and Deinard (now Stinson Leonard Street) shortly after passing the Texas Bar Exam. There, he worked on oil and gas mineral rights cases and title opinions. He then served as In-House Counsel for Open Access Technology International, a software developer that creates solutions for the world’s energy markets, working on a wide range of legal issues before returning to St. Cloud to open a solo practice where he focused almost exclusively on family law.
Now with Reichert Wenner, P.A., Tony continues to focus his practice heavily in family law (divorce, child custody, child support, etc.). He is one of few attorneys in the St. Cloud area that actively works on Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDROs or DROs). He also works on civil litigation matters including commercial litigation, real estate, probate, and some estate planning. Tony lives in St. Cloud with his wife Karen and their cats - Ninja and Jimothy. He is actively involved with Great River Regional Arts Theater (GREAT), is a member and Secretary of the Board for the St. Cloud Singing Saints barbershop chorus, and serves on the board of directors and the building committee for Anna Marie’s Alliance, an organization dedicated to providing safety shelter, support, and referral services for battered women and their children.
